Overview

Farmer is the total package.  Brains, brawn, bone and beauty.  This powerful stallion stands a solid 16.0H, is tested CA for gait, homozygous black and 100% Foundation.  He's a gentle soul with a western working mind and common sense.  He passes on his loving disposition, athleticism and trainability to his offspring.

Farmer crosses well with any mare and stamps his foals with his classic style and beauty.  His foals are sought after in breeding programs across the country and can also be found excellingin a variety of disciplines in and out of the show ring.
We lost Farmer in July 2026 and miss him, dearly.

Performance

Shortly after Farmer was lightly started under saddle, he suffered a severe injury to his right front leg and hoof.  It was a long and slow recovery and we were quite fortunate that he survived.  After 18 months of healing, he was eventually sound enough to be ridden, again.
It was then we discovered just how amazing his western working mind, actually was!  He'd retained everything.
After a few short weeks of light riding, we took him to town for his first true showing.  Not many dry eyes in the barn when this handsome boy took home top ribbons in some awful hard-fought classes including a class of 14 experienced horses & riders, in Western Championship Stake.
We brought him home and had soon had him trained to drive.  Once again, he learned quickly.  For a few years, we continued to take him to shows, fairs and stallion presentations, and used him for various types of ranch work. But we did not use him to the extent we would have, had he not suffered the injury.
It quickly became obvious that Farmer had already proven himself, as he soon had quite the following and foals were held by deposits, years in advance.

Offspring

Farmer has sired 125 registered Morgan foals but has also been crossed with Paint, Quarter Horse, Percheron and Friesian mares.  He compliments them all.
His offspring can be found in breeding programs across the country and overseas.  He has stamped his progeny with his friendly, loving disposition as well as his common sense, western working mindset and ease of training and retention.  His offspring inherit his correct conformation, strong legs and hooves, bone, muscle, and true Morgan type.  They excel in any and all types of disciplines including western pleasure, western dressage, trail, dressage, eventing, ranch classes and more.  They can be found working on ranches and feedlots, packing in the mountains and pulling a buggy or carriage.  Loyal, loving, beautiful, versatile.
The total package.
